Raising your vibration, what does that mean?
We have all experienced the difference between high vibration and low vibration, even if we didn’t have the words to describe it. It’s high energy versus low energy. It’s a good feeling as opposed to a bad feeling. When you walk into a room, you can feel it, one way or another.
When we personally are in a high-vibrational state, you’re feeling marvelous, you have a winning attitude, you feel like you could conquer the world. When you’re vibrating at a high frequency, you find yourself smiling for no reason. Simultaneously, things seem to line up and go your way without you even trying. Life feels easy and effortless.
On the other hand, when you’re in a low vibration state, life seems full of resistance. You don’t feel good. Nothing goes smoothly. You catch every red light when you’re stuck in traffic, the restaurant gets your order wrong, you lose your phone. Nothing goes right.
So what is this powerful thing we call vibration?
Vibration is a frequency, just like radio waves. Our bodies emit an electrical pulse much like our hearts create a pulse we can feel on our wrists. The higher and faster our frequency is, the more happy and content we tend to feel. When we feel sad, depressed, angry or anxious, our frequency is low and dense.
Like your radio tunes in to your favorite station when you put the right frequency on the dial, we work the same way.
When your energy is up and you are in a high-vibrational state, you tend to attract more positive people and situations. Good things just seem to come your way. That’s why cultivating the habit of raising your vibration is so beneficial in all areas of your life.
When you walk into a room and there is a person with high energy in there, you immediately notice them – even if they are on the other side of a crowded place. They are lively and upbeat and you can’t help but be attracted to them like a magnet, they draw you in with their infectious attitude.
When you raise your vibration, you attract and manifest positive situations and events a lot faster.
You are resonating on the same frequency as happiness and therefore attract even more happiness into your life.
Recently, I had a training for a couple of business owners about this very thing. They are enthusiastic and passionate about working with like-minded people and attracting like minded clients. Because they love working with and among people who are positive, upbeat and living in a high-vibration state, they have intentionally set out to attract higher vibration clientele.
Not only are they enjoying pursuing their passion more than ever, they have been able to manifest and create at lightning speed compared to what they were doing before.
One of the biggest benefits to raising your vibration is that you gain a sense of inner peace.
The emotional state of peace, joy and gratitude makes you feel so much better than that of anger, guilt and fear.
As a business person, and in life in general, we are often driven by fear.
Fear of losing
Fear of lack
Fear of not being good enough
I want to give you some tips today on how you can easily raise your vibration – right here in the moment.
The first key to raising your vibration is to have gratitude.
When you get into a place of gratitude, you will always raise your vibration. It is virtually impossible to be both grateful and depressed at the same time.
What are you grateful for in your life? Write it down, speak it out loud. Dwell on it and reflect on what you are grateful for. Give yourself 5-10 minutes to appreciate the good things in your life.
Whether it’s your relationships, your business or your health take a minute to acknowledge the blessings in your life. Are you grateful that you have food and shelter? A healthy body that is able to do things? It’s really those magical things that we take for granted.
In my previous business, we started every week out with a Monday morning meeting where I would ask each staff member, “What are you grateful for today? What are you thankful for? What can you appreciate? What can we appreciate together?”
The second thing that can bring you into a state of high vibration is movement.
Any type of movement from stretching to yoga, breathing exercises, walking, running – whatever it is that you like to do, move your body to raise your vibration. Stand up and stretch in the middle of the day
Movement can help get rid of stagnant energy that can bring you down. Stagnant energy is lifeless and sluggish. It weighs a lot more. It’s heavy. By moving your body, you get that stagnant energy moving again and you’ll instantly start to feel better as your vibration raises.
Years ago, I had a colleague who would spontaneously stand up and do 20 jumping jacks every hour or so. And even sometimes he would get up and just run in place for 30 seconds.
We all thought he was a little “eccentric”… and when he was asked about it, he would always say he was feeling all bogged down from the work that we were doing. We weren’t allowed to leave during our workday and these bursts of seemingly random movement helped him get through his work day.
The funny thing is that it was contagious (as positive energy often is). Eventually we were all getting up and moving our bodies! Finally the floor manager changed the rules and let us leave the building once every couple hours and get outside in nature (which in itself is a great way to raise your vibration) and move around.
The final tip I want to leave you with today is to pay attention and become aware of the language you are using.
Language is so important. Of course, we have a lot of non-verbal communication but verbal communication is how we get our message across to other people. Words are powerful.
Using words such as
I can’t
I won’t
You should
What’s wrong
Those kinds of words are in a low frequency and create and maintain negative emotional states.
I’m not saying you can’t use those words at all but what I am saying is to pay attention and notice what you’re saying and the words you are using.
Replace those negative words with empowering vocabulary such as:
I am powerful
All is going fantastic
All is well
Life is beautiful
I know what to do
I am guided
I am grateful
These words have a certain vibration about hem that brings even more gratitude, more peace to a situation.
Now that I’m living in another country and speaking another language, I have become more aware of the power of words. It’s so easy to get caught up in the local language of the “I can’t, I won’t, you should, you shouldn’t”. I became very aware of how prevalent these words are in our everyday vocabulary.
I can feel the difference in the vibration when I am saying positive words versus negative words. Speaking in another language brings more awareness to how words make me feel. There is a literal shift when I intentionally use high-vibration words.
By choosing to use words with a high frequency, you can be the inspirational leader in your group.
You can be the friend or family member that people look up to just by changing the words you speak on a daily basis.
You can raise the vibration of your situation and of your environment in very simple ways. It doesn’t need to be difficult, complicated or take a long time for it to be effective. Just by being intentionally grateful, moving your body and choosing positive words, you will raise your vibration and begin attracting more happiness, peace and joy in your life.
For years, I have been conducting private sessions, public workshops and seminars for organizations about increasing productivity, happiness and peace of mind by raising your vibration. This is one of the topics I’m asked to speak about the most.
